Summer Wisdom

Thank you to Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water for sponsoring today’s blogpost.
Latinas have a million and one reasons to impart their wisdom by using"dichos," that have been handed down through generations.

Whether to celebrate an accomplishment, or to show support after a disappointment, the women in my family knew when to share those gems.

Those wise words have helped me navigate both life's challenges and celebrate happy moments.  Their wisdom has also helped me create moments of peace and quiet, even when life seems chaotic.

It's because of their wise words that I have learned to enjoy "staycations;" even when the world seems to be vacationing during the summer.

From quiet walks on the beach, to simply window-shopping in a new neighborhood, I've learned a few tricks to get in the vacation mindset.

These are a few of those "dichos" that I hold dear when I want to take a break, and the meaning behind those words:

"Mientras hay vida hay esperanza." Being alive is all you need to be happy.
"Sonriele a la vida." Smile.
"Tienes todo para ser feliz." You already have everything you need to be happy.
"El que madruga, Dios lo ayuda." Get up early to start your day on the right track.
I hope that these words inspire you to enjoy "you"  - any day of the week, season of the year, when doing anything, or nothing in particular.

I also invite you to become a fan of Nestlé® Pure Life® on Facebook and embrace the wisdom of other women.

Share and discover all of the little things that women have shared over the generations that make our lives better.  You can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win prizes and share your own wisdom through the Facebook mosaic.

Enjoy your summer!
