… if you want a sausage roll (I can hear you singing).
So, why not make your own? I made some today using my mum’s guessed quantities. They turned out quite nicely.
What you need:
3 sheets puff pastry
500g beef mince
250g sausage mince
1 medium sized onion, diced
1 medium sized carrot, finely grated
2 tbs mango chutney (don’t over do it with the chutney or they’ll stick)
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Spray Oil
Method:
1. Spray some oil in a medium frying pan. Add diced onion and cook until transparent.
2. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl.
3. Cut the sheets of puff pastry in half.
4. Roll the mince mixture into a sausage shape and place in the middle of the pastry.
5. Roll the pastry to seal then prick along the top with a fork.
6. Spray with oil.
7. Cut into desired size.
8. Cook in a pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes on 200˚c or until golden.
