I come by this insanity honestly, don’t doubt that for a second. There is never a dull moment in my family. Pretty much never has been…
I am thankful for that every single day.
If there has always been one absolute thing in my life, it has been my parents. They have loved me no matter what.
Through thick and thin…
Through good choices and bad. God knows I have made my share of the latter. They are always there for me. In whichever way I need them to be.
If I have a problem, the first person I think to go to is my Dad. He is a smart old guy :) He always has the perspective on things that I need. Even if it isn’t what I necessarily want to hear. Sometimes I agree and take his advice, sometimes I don’t.
My friends love him too…Sometimes we even go into Cahoots, just to mess him up, right Penny????
Sometimes he is grumpy, and he tells me what to do…usually, when he is grumpy, I know I have really screwed up, and I listen.
Randomly… he will turn into a Leprechaun, for no apparent reason…
He sees everything, even when you THINK you got away with it…
He likes a few of the same things as me, like fishing…
and my Mom…
He teaches my kids, some really cool stuff, and keeps them in line when they are bad…
They have a 56 Crown Victoria, and he drives it too fast…
This used to be his, til he sold it to me…now he wants it back, after I did all the work…he can’t have her…
His babysitting skills are questionable too, as you can read about here!!
But mostly, I just love him more than anything…I am a Daddy’s girl through and through…
I tell him I love him all of the time, so today will be no surprise to him when I say…
I would be lost without your wisdom, your love, your hugs and your guidance…
Thank you for being the best Dad I could ever ask for…
