So I may have been intentionally keeping a secret from all of you…and know I’m not pregnant, and no it’s not bad. Actually it’s a really, really good thing. But I’m the kind of girl that likes to make sure that things actually come to fruition before I spill the beans. So now that they have, I’m free to let all of you know
About two months ago, I applied for a contest on a local wedding blog, Captiol Romance. Bree had paired up with a local photographer, Mollie Tobias, to give away a styled photoshoot to a couple that wanted to tell their story in a creative way, with the most creative idea winning the loot. Figuring we had nothing to lose, I decided to enter us into the contest. I explained how much John and Abigail Adams influenced our wedding and suggested that we do a photoshoot that took a modern spin on the famous colonial couple.
And guess what, we won!
Our photoshoot was early this Sunday morning (don’t worry, we got back in time to see my Ravens become champs). Let me tell you, it was fabulous. I can’t share any of the pictures yet but I thought I share some behind the scenes photos.

And here’s me getting my hair did.
I also managed to sneak a little picture of Mollie in action shooting some of the swoon worthy details (a dessert table—girls after my own heart) while I was getting my hair done.
We had such a great time with Bree and Mollie. They put together an amazing group of vendors, who executed so many perfectly styled details. I even got in on the styling action by contributing some paper flowers that I made (tutorial coming soon).
So needless to say, we are dying to the see the pictures (because I’m sure they will be nothing short of amazing). I’ll let you know when and where they pop up (the girls plan to submit the photos to a publication so it might be a little while).
