Greetings from Oahu! After spending 8 glorious days in Maui, we hopped over to Oahu to spend a few days at Disney’s Aulani resort.
Yesterday to welcome us to Oahu, we started the day off taking surfing lessons. Neither one of us had ever surfed but we managed to both catch a few waves (with the instructors’ help of course). The surfing itself was easy but the paddling was killer. We both have bruises on our hips and we can hardly move our arms. I also stupidly wore a bikini top that had a giant metal jewel in the middle so I’ve got a bruise on my chest to match the giant one on my hip. Despite our injuries, we both had a great time. I never thought I would make it on one wave let alone several. It must be that Oahu magic.
