Sweet Caroline, #738

She did it again!  My daughter pulled off another awesome talent show performance!  Every year, it has been a tradition for her to do a performance at the camp talent show with her Daddy who is also the camp director.  Years past have brought us “Do You Love Me” from “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Dream On” by Aerosmith, “Red Kiddush Cup,” a parody of Toby Keith’s “Red Solo Cup,” and this year, they rocked the house with Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.” (Click HERE to read about previous performances and to see Youtube videos of them, too.)

For me, the best part of these performances is what happens after they are all done:  pride!  I absolutely love seeing my little one work hard for something and then pull off a performance knowing that she did a good job.  Here she is right after she performed.  She’s glowing!

Not only that, but these are priceless memories that she shares with her father.  They will both be talking about these performances for the rest of their lives.  I love that!

So without further ado, here is my daughter’s performance (husband on piano) of “Sweet Caroline” from last night.  Pardon the amateur video footage shot off of my iPad, but her sweetness will shine through.  Click HERE to go to Youtube to see it as my family is already looking forward to next year!  ”Sweet Caroline” will never be the same for me.  Sorry Neil Diamond, it’s my daughter’s song now.
