Finally, some relief! Chicago has been Hot as Hell for the last 4 days with temperatures rising above 100 degrees. I’ve sweated so much over the past few days until I really should be about 10 lbs lighter. I spent most of my time indoors but had to run a few errands; so I did indeed have a few “hot as hell” mental breakdown moments. On Saturday, I found myself in need of an additional air conditioner so I headed to Sears to pick up one that I ordered Friday night after going to 4 different stores and having no success finding one in stock. Finding an air conditioner in this heat was like finding a needle in a haystack. Who would’ve known that my fabulous find for this weekend turned out to be an air conditioner?
I don’t frequent Sears too often, in fact I can’t remember the last time I was there. While I was in the store, I decided to check out the Kardashian Kollection and that turned out to be a huge waste of my time. With $48.00 basic looking polos, and $99.00 purses that felt and looked like they were made from garbage bags, I was simply not impressed! I hope their collection on QVC is much better because if anyone purchased their items it’s definitely because they’re fans of the Kardashians and not the quality of their clothes and accessories. According to several other reports I read, their collection is collecting dust on the shelves…..I see why!
I also discovered a new fabulous website, fab.com. I love that they sale a variety of merchandise based on the days of the week. Vintage Monday, Fashion Tuesday, Kids Wednesday, Pet Thursday and Foodie Friday all make up great sales for a variety of needs. I like unique home goods and items that you are less likely to see someone else with. So check them out, I had a good time on their website this weekend.
My furry sidekick Sebastian got pampered this weekend. I had all his fur trimmed off so he’s not so furry anymore. Sebastian is my 8 year old Pekingese and anyone who is familiar with their breed knows that they’re known for 2 things, massive hair and snoring. He’s the “cousin It” of dogs, so I frequently have all his hair chopped off which leaves him with a big head and a little body.
With Saturday evening came sweet relief from the heat, I made up a pitcher of Sangria and kicked off the evening with a barbecue. As you may know, Sunday always brings relaxation for me.
Have a fabulous week!
