Everything that happened over the course of the last 31 burning hot/autumnally cool days:

In My Ears

A lot of Stevie Wonder. Like, A LOT.

Autumn playlists of 8tracks. By mid-July I’m always nostalgic for cold, rainy autumn days.

Jim Harold’s Campfire… a podcast where listeners call in and share their ghost stories *thunder* *lightning*

The Mental Illness Happy Hour podcast. It’s like going to therapy… except you soon realize how lucky you are to have gotten out of childhood relatively unscathed.

In My Eyes

Watched:

I binge-watched “Orange is the New Black” with the rest of you. It is fucking glorious.

I also watched all of “Scandal” and am now hopelessly in love with Kerry Washington even though I’m pretty sure Olivia Pope would glove-slap me across the face and tell me that yoga pants aren’t real pants.

I watched “The Heat” because of course I did.

I re-watched “Easy A” and realized just how incredibly well written that film is. It’s so good. And Stanley Tucci is sexy.

A lot of Tim Minchin youtube videos. He composed the score for Matilda the Musical! Plus, I have a soft spot for non-alpha male atheist comedians from Britain and her former colonies. They’re kind of jerks but I find them reeeeally attractive… because I secretly have daddy issues.

Read:

Wolf Hall” by Hilary Mantel and it’s awesome

Caitlin Moran’s advice to her daughter is funny and brilliant and made me cry.

The greatness of Janeane Garofalo should be more widely appreciated.

“Sex and the City” should be recognized for breaking down barriers and starting the cable TV renaissance… even though the movies are god-awful.

The triumphant return of Gaby Hoffmann! Remember “Now and Then?” I was head-over-heels in love with Samantha.

The life and death of the “Ugliest Woman in the World.”

Real-life mermaids!

“My instincts are sometimes quite dark and my imagination has a tendency to take me to some quite frightening places,” admits Welch. Read more about Florence here.

If you’ve ever spent an afternoon wondering whatever became of Ms. Fairuza Balk, Actress Extraordinaire and star of “The Craft”… visit her website. Apparently she’s making candles out of Neil Gaiman’s beeswax and telling scary tales on “Celebrity Ghost Stories.” Also, I think she’s even prettier now.

In My Heart (Objects of Lust and Love)

Fairuza Balk. I’m waaay into her. Not in a creepy stalker way. I promise.

Uzo Aduba, the actress who plays “Crazy Eyes” in OITNB and starred in Godspell on Broadway.

Tiger lilies in all the ditches!

In My Brain (stuff I created, due to wildly misfiring synapses because COFFEE.)

1001 Half-Naked Ladies

Life Avec Parents

I made a pin board of Tarot Tips, if you’re interested.

A post about Frida Kahlo on her birthday

P.S. I actually quit drinking coffee but am now addicted to tea… soooooo… nothing has changed.
