So what do we have to show for it?
A watch.
Well, an Apple Watch, to be specific, which means it’s really expensive, and we’re not quite sure about its usefulness, yet.
What we do know is that it only works in conjunction with the iPhone 5 or newer versions of the iPhone (a not so clever ploy to get you to spend more money). Which means it will be really helpful if your iPhone is ever just out of reach.
Of course, in a world where we are already constantly connected, do we really need to be more connected? Will the Apple Watch make our lives better, or simply act as a stylish accessory that handcuffs you to your phone?
Only time will tell, but for now we’ll have plenty of time to speculate, and fawn over the pretty designs, before the Apple Watch is released in early 2015.
