…take Note

Crusaders, we made it! It’s Thursday (aka Friday Eve)! I think we can all agree that it’s been a rough couple of days here…without getting into details because I just can’t.

So today I thought it’d be nice to take a moment to breathe away from the news cycle and catch up on some of the more delightful highlights of the week. Because believe it or not, good things have happened this week. Let’s take a moment to remember and cherish them…

Marvel gave us all something to look forward to with the release of the first trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War.”

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” premiered on Amazon Prime (more on that next week), and proved once again that Amy Sherman-Palladino (the creator of “Gilmore Girls” for those who don’t know) loves us and wants us to be happy.

We got a new Carpool Karaoke from the ever-joyful James Corden, featuring the ever-delightful Kelly Clarkson.

The Grammy Awards announced their nominations, which wasn’t particularly joyful for this musical theater fan (If there are five slots, why would you not nominate five albums?), but I’m absolutely delighted that “We Come From Away” got a nod…even if the Grammy team couldn’t come up with two other shows (suggestions: “Groundhog Day” and “Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812”). Speaking of “The Great Comet,” its creators were honored this week by the Smithsonian (just saying, Grammys) with an American Ingenuity Awards…the “Golden Globes of the Intellect.”

And speaking of musical theater, “Anastasia” (the movie) turned 20 this week. It’s hard to believe we’ve had two decades of journeying to the past (and that this movie did not come out in December).

See, I told you good things happened this week. Now let’s all get out there and finish this week strong.

…bi-daily smile…
