Dear Readers,
I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I’ve decided to do it. I’m not a quitter; in fact, I’ve rarely given up on anything that matters to me during my (insert your Satchel Paige age here) years on this dear planet, but I feel I’ve got to make an exception. At least for a little while.
Blogging has been such a great release for me. It’s helped me stay current; it’s kept me thinking; it’s kept me writing; and it’s kept me in touch with you.
However, at this juncture in my life, as I sit in the throes of writing a second novel and desperately want to complete it, and as I attempt to be a good mother to my children, I believe a pause in blogging is necessary.
I’m not sure how long a break it will be. Perhaps it will be a month, two months, six months, or a year. I honestly have no idea right now. But I do know that I need to focus on preparing for the upcoming semester at Stevenson where I will be teaching two new courses, as well as getting reacquainted with my little fictional friends as we march toward completion of “Baseball Girl” together.
So, it’s not goodbye, it’s just so long for a little bit.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and I’ll see you on the flip side, whenever that may be.
All the best,
