Have you ever visited the small Dorset village of Tarrant Monkton? If you have, you'll know how truly picturesque it is - the embodiment of beautiful Dorset rural life. That's just one of the reasons I was so excited to shoot a wedding in the village recently. I absolutely adore Dorset, having made it my home over two years ago, and I relish every opportunity to photograph celebrations in this wonderful place.

So, it was my first time shooting some wedding photography in Tarrant Monkton - and my first time in a while photographing a wedding ceremony in Salisbury, too! At this wonderful celebration, the bride and her bridesmaids got ready in her family village, before driving to Salisbury for a full Catholic nuptial mass ceremony. And then... we were back to Tarrant Monkton for a fabulous tipi style wedding reception.

The weather wasn't quite all that it could have been - but at the end of September, who knows what you're going to get given! However, I counted my blessings, for the rain pretty much held off until everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast, Inside the tipi it was fully prepped for a wonderful autumnal celebration... even with its own fire pit for toasting marshmallows over!

Let's take a look at just a few of my favourite images from this lovely Tarrant Monkton wedding, shall we? Oh, did I mention that it was also a Navy wedding with a full guard of honour? Aaaaand you're going to have to wait until the full set of blogs to get treated to what was undoubtedly the highlight of the day - the epic moves on the dancefloor!
