Tax Season - The Third

Posted on the 25 January 2013 by Missliabilities
There hasn't been much going on to contribute lately. M began studying for Step One and his plan was to ease into it by adding an hour each night to his existing studying but it's usually more like two hours. He used to finish schoolwork around 7pm after starting class at 8am. If I had nothing to do it would be frustrating to wait for him to finish. Luckily grad school reading is keeping me busy and when he finishes up and starts watching tv, I spend another hour on the legal system.
How am I going to maintain the homework, the housework, and the real work over the next three months? Oh I forgot entirely about exercise. I can feel my hours at work increasing steadily, and my first Saturday at work is tomorrow. The dishes are piled up, there are no groceries in the house- this is the first busy season I'm going through living with someone else. I feel like such a cop out subsisting on Lean Cuisines, wine, and string cheese like I've done in the past. But I also can't pretend I can contribute equally to the meal making when I start getting home at 8 or 9pm.
I'll sit down tonight and go over the basics with him. And then pop over to the store and grab my tax season haul of instant oatmeal and microwave dinners. Nom nom.
If you see me disappear from the blogosphere for a bit keep in mind April 15 is 2.5 months away so I'll be back!
