Ten on Tuesday

How stoked am I to be a 90′s child? Let me answer that question in today’s ToT:

1. Which boy band was your favorite and your favorite song?
It was most definitely the Backstreet Boys, but I could never pick a favorite song. I loved them all! I will say that I lost interest in them shortly after they put out their 4th album, “Black and Blue.” I liked the songs, but I never bought the CD.

2. Your favorite Spice Girl?
That’s a tough one. My friends and I would pretend we were the Spice Girls, and I’m pretty sure I was Sporty Spice. I’m not even sure that she was my favourite, but I was the most athletic out of our group, so that’s who I got.

3. Did you ever try the Orbit drink?
Was that the drink with the little gooey balls (yes, that sounds dirtier than it should) in it? I remember the drink itself being good, but the little orbs being gross.

4. What brand of clothing were you in to?
Tommy Hilfiger was pretty big back in the day, and you weren’t cool unless you shopped at Bootlegger.

5. Did you watch TGIF?
Most definitely! I remember watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Sister Sister … *sigh*

6. What news story in the 90′s do you recall?
Although I didn’t know the name of it at the time, I remember the Gulf War being in the papers and being terrified that the world was going to blow up. I also remember the OK Simpson trial (which my Grandma followed religiously).

7. List which you think had the best talent: Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, Brittney Spears, and Christina Aguilera.
This list is hard … if I were to only base it off of their singing careers, I’d go Christina, Brittney, Jessica, Mandy. I only ever owned a couple of Christina’s CD’s.

8. Did Marilyn Manson creep you out?
He most certainly did, but I still listened to some of his songs. (Beautiful People, The Dope Show) Marilyn was a “listen but don’t look” kind of songster.

9. Who was your BFF?
In the 90′s my BFF”s were Sam, Deborah and Tamara. We were inseparable! We kind of all went our own way shortly after we got into high school, but I still keep in touch with them on Facebook; I even went to Sam’s wedding a couple years ago.

10. A picture of you in the 90′s.

I’m not sure what year this was taken exactly, but this was for the annual figure skating showcase that the local skating club put on at the end of the year. I believe the theme was “Carnival/The Circus” because there’s also a photo of me dressed as a clown. Scary, I know.

What’s your memory of the 90′s??
