Being sick this week has made me realize how grateful I am that I am not on training plan right now. I would feel like such a failure if I had been. I know healing does not equal failing...but, well most of you guys are runners - you get it.That being said - I am so happy to have a training plan starting next week as I aim to kill at the Jugo Juice 10k at the Calgary Marathon this year. Sub 60 min. I plan to own it.
It is great to have the structure of a training plan. Ever since Goofy, I've kind of felt like I have been floating along (nay, flailing along) and as a result my eating has been crap and my consistency has been crap and the increasing weight on the scale is all I have to show for it. DAMMIT!
But Monday spells a new week. My DietBet starts. My training plan starts. I will have a race to look forward to next weekend - St Paddys and perhaps (depending on how I am feeling next week) a chance at a PR.
Things are looking up...I can hardly wait to begin. I just need the weekend to prep.
