Oh chicken, this is how you were supposed to look this week!
Monday night, Ryan and I headed out to buy our Christmas tree. Once we got it home and stood it up, there was a mass amount of pine needles all over the floor.
I quickly took chicken out of the freezer to thaw and started vacuuming the floor. All of a sudden our vacuum cleaner started smoking and smelled like it was on fire.
This is how vacuuming should go - but instead, I found myself ripping the vacuum apart to find out what was wrong. The thing was jammed full of dirt and dust. ::definitely missed the part in the manual where it says to clean it every 6 months::
I start pouring junk into the trash. There is flour-like dirt flying up in the air and all over my clothes. By now this vacuuming project has been going on for 30 minutes and I'm pissed.
I lug all of the pieces to the sink and start washing them out. Enter Ryan:
"What is in that bowl in the sink???"
I look down - there's disgusting dark gray water filling the bowl that was sitting there. All of a sudden I remember the chicken breasts I had taken out to thaw. They were in that disgusting dirty water....
That was the straw that broke the camels back...There was no way I was cooking dinner...it was already 9pm...Ryan looks at me and says:
"I guess we're getting takeout..."
Yup, THAT just happened....
