I’ve heard many times that as a parent the worst phone call you can get is the one telling you your child is in trouble, hurt or worse. Well I’m not a parent but I am someones child. As an adult child we expect to lose a parent. We sort of mentally prepare for it, but you are never prepared. Late Wednesday night I got that phone call. The worse phone call of my life. My dad was in the emergency room. Not breathing and unresponsive. I sat with my phone in my hands waiting for a call back that they brought him back and he would be ok. Sadly, it didn’t happen. I lost my beloved father that night. The sound out of my mouth was not human as I processed the grief.
My dad was awesome. He had a great sense of humor. He could always make you laugh. He was the life of the party. My dad will be missed by many people. Friends and family alike.
Rest in peace daddy. I love you.
