The Art of Flyer Distribution

Posted on the 06 October 2015 by Scribe Project @ascribeproject

Just like all the other tasks including picking up women and getting laid, flyer distribution has an art too.  It’s more like a psychology behind the whole job which means flyer distribution has science in it too. So  I thought about writing about it with some tips for you, just in case you’re a novice flyer giver  or if you’re in a company and hoping to give out flyers to promote an event. If you’re a jobless guy sitting in front of a laptop, going through gumtree, seeing all the flyer distribution jobs and going like ‘omg I have no clue how to do this’, believe me, flyer distribution is not the hardest job in the world, when you know how to do it. Well, just like every job else.

So well, here are some tips for you if you’re the one handling promotions in company.

  • Make sure the flyer looks appealing. Don’t  use small fonts or any lousy designs. If it’s not about a community project, public awareness but a brand, make sure it has girls in it. You can always keep faith in hormones.
  • Use a good paper material and make sure you use the correct size. Nobody likes to take huge papers in their hand.
  • Emphasize what you need to emphasize. Use simple words, graphics.

Enough with the companies, now we’re coming to the flyer distributor.

Okay folks, it seems like an easy job but it’s not. But it’s all about you, if you want to make it interesting, it will be.  So anyway, if you want to do a flyer distributing job (For part time of course , I don’t think such a full time job exists even Nobody dreams to be a flyer distributor) make sure it’s not a bundle job but an hourly pay job.  Because you’d get only like $25 to $30 for a bundle which contains around a 1000. Not cool at all.  Try a hourly paying one, if you’re lucky you’d find one with a good pay. Anyway, here are some tips when distributing.

  • It’s not easy. Make sure you look at people in the eye and smile before you give out the flyer. Then there’s a high chance of them not ignoring you.
  • Don’t run around too much, Remember that you have to do this whole day for around 10 hours, save some energy.

If you’re in Orchard (Which is a perfect place for flyer distribution) or any city area with many people,  try these.

If not, well bless you mate.

  • Don’t try expats who has nothing in their hands. They wanna keep them as they are, they wouldn’t wanna fill their hands with papers.
  • Teens and young generation is good, Just hand them over, they will take it.
  • Old generation will take them too, out of curiosity.
  • Smile, it works I swear.
  • Try the underpass, people take whatever you give to them there, But the productivity is low, Still, the best place to finish off the flyers.
  • Try junctions and crossings. More people, more flyer takers.
  • Eye contact is important.
  • If mom doesn’t take the flyer, give to the kid. They like colours.
  • Don’t get too bored. look around, look at the girls, at least try to guess their cup size, make it fun.
  • If nothing works out, I don’t mind if  you cheat but don’t get caught.
  • Mall entrances are good, as long as the security don’t chase you away.
  • If the security chases you away, just remember you have two more chances. Nobody will call the police or anything until the 3rd time.
  • If you had to choose between an overhead bridge and an underpass. Choose underpass. Apparently, people like to go down than going up.

I hope these tips would work out for you. Let me know how it goes.  May you distribute all the flyers.

Cheers.
