The Beautiful Body Challenge

I love the #FlashbackFriday linky!  The linky helps me to visit blogs that I would not have otherwise even known about.  Blogs that I end up loving!!!  This happened a few weeks ago when Ashley Churchyard added her post The Beautiful Body Challenge to the linky.
I love The Beautiful Body Challenge post. It is a post for all women, regardless of body type, encouraging us to love our bodies as they are. The post says that even after acknowledging that there are aspects of our bodies that we don't like and would like to improve upon, we should still learn to love ourselves as is.  What a great message.  I mean most of us take better care of things we love as opposed to things we don't like  So learning to love ourselves and our bodies, as they are,  can only help us to better take care of oursleves and maybe even lead to us improving those body parts that we don't like so much.
I ACCEPT THE BEAUTIFUL BODY CHALLENGE:
The rules: openly share the things about my body that I am proud of and that make it beautiful. To objectively look at the things I don’t like. And if I’m feeling brave, to share a picture of my body.
The point of this: to move the focus onto the good parts of my body and to be objective about the thing I don’t like. But most importantly to start a more loving relationship with my body, because when you love something you’re more likely to take care of it properly.
My name is Arlett and my body is beautiful and I am proud of it because it is strong and allows me to take care of myself and be there for others.  My body allows me to Chase Joy.
I love my smile, my boobs, my body shape, my height, and my skin tone.  I love that the muscles in my legs allow me to lift heavy weights in the gym. I love that my skin tone goes well with any color I wear.
I don't like that I am overweight. While I like my body shape I'd like to be leaner but have the same type of figure.  My stomach is not a one of my favorite body parts, too flabby.  The area I dislike the most right now is the back of my inner thigh.  This area circled in the picture below.  I will be thinking about that area when I am going hard with my cardio during my #100DaysofFitness challenge.
Overall, my body image is pretty good. There is room for improvement, but it is much more positive than  it used to be.  I'm even contemplating wearing a two piece bathing suit this summer.  I actually purchased the bikini this weekend.  We will see if I have the confidence to put it on for a beach day. My Body is Beautiful!
What do you love about your body?  As you think about your goals this week for #MakeItHappenMonday consider adding join the  My Body is Beautiful Challenge to your list.
