The First Time Ever.

I had a first time experience on Saturday. It was the first time ever that my car has passed emission and safety inspection on the first try. I used to drive an old 1995 Corolla, he was a nice green color with a really faded hood and clip on tire rims. He was a pretty sweet ride. Every single year I DREADED doing the inspections. In Utah we register our cars every years, every year you have to pay taxes, and on some newer cars you only have to do the safety and emissions every other year. It all depends on make/model and year... or that's what the dude told me at Grease Monkey.
So Saturday Jared followed me down the street to Grease Monkey, to drop little Linus off. Usually this is a whole day ordeal. Okay maybe I lied. It's not a whole day, but it usually takes an hour or so. I thought that we'd drop him off, then we'd be as busy as bees and run some errands. So I pull up, and I've got my game face on. I tell them, give me the usual. Of course, they were extremely confused because I have never been there before. Then the dude is all up in my grill, and he says yo girl, it's only gunna take 15 minutes. I was amazed, so then I was all sweet on him. I was like WHAT? You're my new favorite Grease Monkey that ever existed. I went inside and things got better! They had free soda! That's right so I got all hopped up on Dr. Pepper sitting in the waiting room. Jared and I even went in a miniature playhouse. The dude came inside, and asked me if I had a pet praymantus.  I was all sorts of confused! Apparently a freaking insect had hitched a ride in my car, what a nut. He was probably cute, and harmless. I gave the Grease Monkey permission to let him go. I said DONT KILL HIM, so I don't think that he did.
Anyway about 15 minutes goes by and BAM Linus passed inspections. Life is good. I framed the registration.
