The Grow Write Guild

Despite the fact that this was the view outside our door today, it's time to start thinking about the garden!! This morning at around 1am I woke to the sound of a raging storm outside. I went to the window and watched in the dark for awhile. The wind was howling, the rain was beating on the glass, little hail bits collected in piles on the sidewalk, and the lightning flashes were illuminating my living room in rapid succession. It was pretty awesome.
But this morning, as I grabbed my camera to catch a shot of, what I hope is, the last snow fall, I started thinking about Spring and the garden. I jumped online to find some resources or inspiration and came across You Grow Girl. I'm beyond thrilled to have found this site (which has been around for years and has a plethora of information.)

I came across a recent post about The Grow Write Guild. Having wanted to keep a gardening journal for a couple of years now, I decided to join up. Basically, blog author Gayla Trail, will post a gardening writing prompt every two weeks. Then anyone participating will respond to the prompt. Of course, another perk of this is finding myself in a great gardening community online.
I'm excited to get started. The first writing prompt has already been listed and I'll be posting my answer to it this Saturday, so stay tuned!!

PS- If you're following via a reader, hop on over to the site today and see my new blog design! Also- (I'm sure you all have noticed this) Google Reader is being discontinued. Sad face. I recommend you check out Bloglovin' or Feedly for your subscription needs. I have been using Feedly for a couple of days now. There's a bit of a learning curve but I like it.
