The Ideal Hostess Gift

The lovely folks at "Love with Food" sent me a sample box to review - which I thought would be perfect as a hostess thank you gift!

Whether you travel local to visit family, or spend a few days at a friends place this summer, it's always nice, and in good form, to thank your host and hostess.
From the most basic hand-written "Thank you Card" mailed after your trip, to a more substantial gift delivered upon your arrival, your host deserves a nicety to thank them for opening their doors.
These are just a few ideas that you can use when choosing your host/hostess thank you gifts:
Afternoon/Day Visit:
Whether you stop by your Aunt Mae, whom you haven't seen in years, or meet a friend for lunch out of town, it's always nice to follow-up with a hand-written "Thank You" card after your visit to stay in touch.
Hosted Dinner:
Someone hosting you for a home-cooked dinner is probably one of the most thoughtful things anyone can do.  Don't wait to send a "Thank You" card and instead show-up to dinner with a nice bouquet of flowers, or artisan chocolate for your host.
Overnight Stay:
When you stay over someones home for one night, they are literally opening up their heart to their most sacred space.  Besides being a thoughtful guest, make sure to thank your host with a delicacy not available in their home town, or mail a certificate to their favorite restaurant or coffee shop after your stay.
Weekend or Weeklong Visit:
More than one night at someones home merits more than a simple "Thank You" card.  Besides taking out your host and hostess for dinner or a nice lunch during your stay, mailing a "Thank You" card and gift after your stay will not only be thanked, it will also guarantee a second invitation.  One of my favorite gift ideas is to sign-up my hosts for the "Love with Food" gourmet box.
For as little as $10 a month, your host will receive a monthly reminder of your thoughtful in yummy morsels of delightful foodie finds.  Learn more about "Love with Food" on their Facebook Page or Tweet them to say hello.
No doubt a crowd pleasure, and such an original gift idea!

I hope these host and hostess gift ideas help you make a beautiful impression on the folks that will help you create lovely summer memories.
