Britt has been so excited for his class party featuring a character from a book he read over the course of the school year. He read a few Batman books, and he was The Joker for Halloween, so we had the perfect costume, and I've never seen him so excited to go to school! He originally wanted to have black eye shadow all the way around his eyes and red lipstick, but after we did one eye, he promptly changed his mind. One of the moms from Brailey's class loaned us her son's green hair spray, and that totally saved the day! The celebration is for the 100 Book Club - every kid was trying to read 100 books by the end of the school year. Britt had his 100 books read back in March, and most of them were chapter books, so I'm really proud of him for loving to read. And I'm thrilled that his beloved teacher, Sra. Downes, gave his class this day of celebration. It was wonderful to see all the fun the kids were having, dressed in their different characters. A joyful day!
