The August #CJBL was no different. There was a wealth of information and inspiration but two things really resonated with me. The first thing came from one of our speakers. Janeane Davis, of the blog Janeane's World spoke about creating a vision board. My understanding of a vision board is creating a collection of images that represent the things, experiences, and goals you want for your life. As Janeane was talking I jot down a note saying Use Pinterest for vision boarding.

The second thing that resonated with me came from one of our sponsors. We were lucky enough to have 3 of our wonderful sponsors in attendance at the Brunch. The ladies from Dress Barn Gateway Shopping Center, Pink Diamond Athletics, and Adorn You were in attendance and spoke to us for a few minutes about their products and services. In the couple of minutes that the ladies from Adorn You were speaking they said something that really hit home. Adorn You specializes in making broach bouquets and broach bouquet inserts. One of the ladies talked about how she was single and that often single women feel that can't get excited about or enjoy things that are related to weddings or marriage. She said that if those are things that we want for ourselves we could embrace and enjoy it even if it has not happened for us yet. This was a message that I needed to hear.

In the spirit of combining Janeane's message on Vision Board and the Ladies form Adorn You's message on embracing and enjoying marriage/wedding related things regardless of my single status, I have created two new Pinterest Boards, Joyful Wedding/Marriage and The Joy of Motherhood . These boards will be my vision board related to becoming a wife and mom. There's not much on them now. But you can follow me and watch my vision and vision boards grow.
Do you use vision boards? Do you use Pinterest for vision boarding? Did you embrace all things marriage and babies when you were single or did you save that for when the time came?
