This is a cake I make when I am in a desperate need for a fast dessert (unexpected guests or unwanted cravings :). I bought some pastry dough and feta cheese. I threw an egg in the grated cheese, I added some orange zest and sugar, vanilla and then mixed everything thoroughly.
Using a brush, I dabbed the first layer of pastry with melted butter (this is kinda my secret) , then I put the cheese
and the other layer of pastry dough on top, also brushed with melted
butter, some beaten egg and brown sugar (all these turn into a freaking
amazing crust). Because I want to take it easy on the calories, I use
very little sugar, so the pies taste a bit salty-ish, yet fragrant and
satisfying :). I name it the "kill me now" cake because it's a constant reminder of my frustrations when it comes desserts.
