The Laziness Conundrum

Posted on the 04 March 2014 by Mikidemann @mikidemann
I have a confession. I hate my blog design right now. I kind of made a promise to myself that I would get back in the habit of blogging every day before I put the time and energy into redesigning this blog of mine. My dad is a graphic designer and he’s pretty good, okay… he’s really good.
I was talking to him on Sunday and he was like, “MIKI you change your blog design all the time.” Correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t feel like I do. I will change an element here and there, but a whole new fresh design.. I haven’t done in a solid year or so.
Then I had a design epiphany. I opened my eyes (because I was sleeping when this epiphany occurred) and started to email myself my ideas. I hope all of you email yourself, it feels really good when you wake up and see a little red notification saying 10 people sent an email, even if they were me. It’s a self esteem booster. Anyway, I started to sketch out with words the design I wanted and when I woke up and read my own emails, they still sounded like good ideas. WIN!
Here is the real problem. I stay motivated, productive and working my tail off all day long. Then when I get in my car and start the trek home… something comes up, something always comes up, I have to go to the store or run an errand. By the time I get home, I’m more exhausted and I’m not motivated and I don’t feel like being productive. I just want to eat dinner, relax and possibly jump into sweats and watch The Big Bang Theory.
That’s a personal problem. I know, but it’s so hard!
