There are a few things I love about marriage. Well, maybe more than a few, but I will talk about a few today. One of the things I have really come to learn these two and a half years is that your partner will always keep you learning and growing. Its one of the few constants in my life. I have learned more about myself being married than I ever did single. True, I was not single for very long in my early twenties, but there were those years that really stretched me and enabled me to know what I was looking for {although you tend to find when you're not looking}. I have been struggling since we moved to this tiny, college {wanna-be} town. What I had envisioned in my mind was met with anything but my highest expectation. There was issue after issue. Some were financial, some were just being far away from Georgia and everyone I know. Some were just a push to get me out of my comfort zone. But with my husband, we have come to realize that we will never be successful until we learn to push each other out of our comfort zones. Success never comes easily {although I would LOVE to think it does}. Successful marriages happen when you are outside of your comfort zone. Successful marriages happen when you keep each other learning and growing. If marriage has taught me anything these past few months it's that we all can benefit from the pushes and the unmet expectations.
What about you, newlyweds? Have you been pushed and stretched by marriage?
