The Mists of the Apocalypse

Posted on the 23 November 2012 by Petronela Ungureanu @unikornaa
The mists of the Apocalypse The mists of the Apocalypse It's been 14 days since I've last seen the sun. Is it still there? We have been surrounded by an endless fog that seems to have taken hold of the entire world. I can't even remember how it is to feel the warmth of the sun on your skin. People here in the countryside make strange and, sometimes funny, connections with the so-called End of the World that's about to come in less than a month.
Believe it or not, they spend their little money on canned goods hoping they might come in handy, should the Apocalypse happen. The church is full every Sunday and the old ladies, accustomed to gossip during the mass, pray silently, the eyes on the ground. One of my neighbors is convinced we shall never see the sun again, he is very certain that this fog is the very first sign of the coming Revelation. To be honest, Revelation or not, I don't really care. I truly hope I'll get to see the premiere of The Hobbit before it all ends. But nothing will end...except this stupid apocalyptic frenzy.
