The Past
As I look back, I realize that I was trying to be like other wine bloggers. I’d look at other blogs to see how they were writing articles, and I’d try to incorporate some ideas into my blog. I was trying to be like “them.”
Eventually, it became more “work” than “fun,” and my blogging came to a halt. I didn’t want to shut it down, but it seemed like too much work to continue.
The Present
Now I realize that I’m not like other people, and I shouldn’t try to be like other people. I need to do this blog the way I want to. So that’s what I’m going to do.
The Future
You’ll see changes. I probably won’t be writing long, detailed reviews. I won’t have detailed tasting notes. I will, however, tell you what I think of it. The posts will probably be shorter, but hopefully I’ll make up for that by posting more often.
Also, I won’t restrict myself to wine. When I started the blog, I was thinking about a wine glass when I selected “In My Glass” for the blog name. I have other glasses, including whiskey glasses and shot glasses, so expect to see posts about vodka, rum, bourbon, tequila, and even beer on occasion.
Right now, I’m just going to enjoy my glass of Buffalo Trace Bourbon. Cheers!
