The Peril of Weather and Unrelated Pretty Pictures

I’ve had a pretty terrible weekend (well, really just a terrible Friday but it set the tone) and I thought I’d share some of the highlights because now that it’s over I’m trying to laugh at them and you should too!  Running late for teaching (on the first day my cooperating teacher won’t be there so I have to be there on time and organized), car window breaks, starts to rain.  Get to class (on time, yay!) and have a good lesson only to find car broke even more.  Realize no one down by school will help me with car problems (or even pick me up from mechanic) so I have drive back home and hope car doesn’t seriously break.  Cue torrential down pour (with broken window that won’t close).  Make it to highway very wet.  Cue freak hail storm that freezes highway and almost causes me to run off the road (and into semi-truck).  Make it through freak hail storm to hit construction.  Finally get to mechanic.  Car can’t be fixed til Tuesday. Go to Quiznos for sandwich to make the unhappy go away, they mess up my order.  Cue  more rain.

So, my goal for this week’s Sunday fun facts day was to find things that cheer me up.  I’ve settled on awesome houses that would be a lot more fun to be a hermit in than deal with driving through hail storms without windows.  Enjoy!

Now, I’m not a huge fan of people so these apartments would probably be too crowded for me, but I LOVE the colors.  It just makes living here feel like it would be a lot more fun.

Yes, living in this house would probably involve dealing with hail…but from the inside it would probably be pretty.

The Peril of Weather and unrelated pretty picturesThe Hobbit House!  How could you not want to live in a house like this?  It looks like it would be the perfect place to escape from the world with a cup of tea and a good book (or a cross-stitch project).

I’m not sure what it is about this vertical garden that seems so cool, but it  is.  Although it would probably be a little tricky to plant/maintain this garden it would be pretty fantastic to live next to it.

Initially I thought glass houses were really awkward because people can see everything you’re doing.  Then I realized that to afford a glass house you’d also be able to afford a nice amount of land to go around it and those cool retractable blinds and all sorts of other things.  Making glass houses very spectacular.

I’m not sure what it is about this house.  Probably the blue doors…  It’s just so unique looking.

The Peril of Weather and unrelated pretty picturesI don’t think I’d want to live here, but you have to admit it’s just a fantastic concept.

Well, that’s it for today.  Hope you enjoyed today’s collection!  Talk to you all again Monday.  Go do something crafty! Or take a book break.
