The SoCal Social!

Posted on the 24 October 2012 by Jamie Gall @50states50wines

This past weekend I got to participate in a wonderful event called “The Socal Social.”  Organized by Bev from Flamingo Toes and Viv from The V Spot Blog.

This event brought us to Old Town Orange where a group of bloggers got together and would go on a scavenger hunt with the local businesses.  Each shop in the scavenger hunt had a bit of swag for each of us as we frequented the stores.  We had plenty of time to browse and shop in the stores, and take pictures along the way!

All together there were 13 stores that we visited, check out the pictures below:

After the swag walk we had a bit of extra time to kill before dinner so we stopped by a few of our favorite stores then by the Bruery where we tried a flight of beer:

And then we stopped by Avila’s El Ranchito for dinner.  A nice Mexican buffet which had a bit of everything.  Meringue Bake Shop then set up their dessert bar where we got to try out some delicious treats.  But I was truly blown away by all the swag received from this fun event (talking BIG bag full!)  And not only that they had amazing raffle giveaways on top of that.

And during the evening we even heard Mark Montano talk about his new book, “The Big Ass Book of Bling” which was included in our swag bags.

It was a lovely evening, and a fun way to explore Old Town Orange.

The next day a few of us stopped by Complexions Spa at the Atrium Hotel, and had some spa luxuries.  I enjoyed my warm stone massage, and enjoyed my view of the pool:

Thanks for a wonderful weekend ladies =) I look forward to attending next year.

Disclosure: I won the SoCal Social event ticket, but I would have happily paid the 100 dollars for the two day event.  45 dollars for Saturday, and 100 dollars with both Saturday and Sunday at the spa.
