It is devastating to see in every news what happen last Friday, November 8, 2013, when Yolanda (Haiyan) hit thousands of Filipino lives. Even here in Quezon City we feel bad rain the whole day yet not as worst as Visayas. The images of blown houses, storm surges, landslides, ruined infrastructures, cars up side down, uprooted trees, and homeless citizens.

Super Typhoon Yolanda is possibly the strongest typhoon in the world this year, and the fourth strongest ever recorded. The monster typhoon devastated many parts of the Philippines, forcing millions of Filipinos to evacuate on safer ground. The most affected province are mainly in the Visayas area: Leyte, Samar, Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Aklan, Capiz, and Negros.

As to date, many people are crying for help. There are areas that cannot be reached with any means of help due to cut of communications and impassible roads. But government and other organizations are trying their best to reach out to victims. According to the Philippine Red Cross, up to 10,000 people were killed by typhoon Yolanda. It's very sad to know that the casualties and damages from typhoon Haiyan is expected to rise sharply as rescue workers and soldiers reach areas.
