Anyway, whether I can believe it or not - that time of year is very much upon us, it's time to start thinking about Christmas gifts but worry not because I've come across some really nifty gifts that I think will give you plenty of inspiration! Here are my favorite picks for 2022:
Great Games
This Spot The Intro board game is ideal for family game nights as theres a category to suit all generations - you need access to a phone in order to scan the QR codes on the cards and play the intros to the popular songs but this really adds a fun element in, there's a trivia and board game element involved too. A brilliant game to gift to grandparents which is sure to bring everyone together over the festive period.
This classic strategic thinking game is one that I remember fondly from my own childhood, and I think it's really stood the test of time as my own nieces really enjoy it! It's not too drawn out and is something different than most games available on the market.
This family murder-mystery board game is a brilliant option for encouraging the family to get engrossed in a game together. The premise is that a crime has been committed on board the Orient Express and each player takes on the role of a famous detective to help solve the ultimate question - whodunnit!?
Brilliant Books
Kid Christmas by xxx is a lovely festive offering combining beautiful illustrations with a classic story, retelling the timeless tale of how Father Christmas came to be with a little twist - it's a beautiful and engaging story which would make the perfect Christmas Eve read.
As a home educating family, we are always on the lookout for books that help us to gain new insight and understanding of people and places - and Africana does that beautifully. It combines history with some fascinating facts and insights into the culture and diversity of this incredible continent. It's beautifully illustrated too.
Illumibugs is a really interesting book that covers facts and information on over 180 minibeasts, as well as giving children the chance to discover them via the fun glasses which can be used with the special pages inside to provide 3 different views - a really fun nature resource for little explorers!
It's Christmas Everywhere is another classic Christmas Eve read which is ideal for younger children. The bitesize facts all about how Christmas is celebrated around the world make it an educational read as well as a fun one.
Who's That Dinosaur is a really fun concept for a book full of information and illustrations about various dinosaurs, little ones will love learning the facts and trying to identify the different dinosaurs. A must for any dino fans this Christmas!
A Mind Like Mine is a perfect resource to help normalise and destigmatise mental health conditions. It explores the real life experiences of 21 famous people and the mental health conditions that they have lived with, as well as exploring other issues and topics such as treatments and stigma - the book is beautifully illustrated, too.
A Natural History Of Mermaids is a stunning book full of whimsical illustrations, going in to detail on the folklore and history behind mermaids - a truly beautiful addition to any children's bookshelf.
Beauty Gifts
Made By Coopers offer beautiful vegan friendly, cruelty free products which are all natural and aim to promote positive wellbeing - I was lucky enough to try out the Sleepyhead room and pillow spray which is a delicious blend of lavender, chamomile and frankincense - it smells divine and I have to say that I felt its benefit straight away which, as someone who struggles with sleep, is high praise indeed! This spray won the Sleep Category at the Natural Health Magazine Beauty Awards 2021 so it's certainly a product worth trying.
I also tried the Sleepyhead Bath Salts which smelt just as amazing, and really left me feeling soothed and serene - I love the packaging for these too!
This Beauty On The Go travel set from Artistry Skin Care contains a hydrating mousse cleanser, a smoothing toner and a hydrating gel cream making it the perfect gift for anyone interested in keeping their skin fresh on their travels. It comes beautifully packaged, and looks so elegant too. The product itself felt luxurious on the skin and did the job perfectly!
Bayliss & Harding are a brand synonymous with high quality bathing and skincare products, and what I always appreciate most about the brand are the efforts they go to in order to make what could be a simple bath gel into something extra special by way of their packaging and presentation.
The sweet mandarin & grapefruit bath bubbles not only smell divine and make for a luxurious bath time treat, but the bottle is beautiful and even lights up for the festive season! It could easily be used as a feature item on a bathroom shelf for years to come once the product has been used up, which makes it an ideal choice for a stocking filler.
I also absolutely adore these super cute bath baubles which, again, are packaged exquisitely for the festive season - so much so that it would be a shame to wrap them as they look so beautiful just as they are!
I hope that you've found some gift giving inspiration to help you out this festive season. Happy Holidays!
