The Universe Within and Around.

The idea of alternate realities, and various infinite possibilities really intrigues me.

What would it be like to shift from one dimension in to space and time to another. At times, I feel as though besides the existence of alternate realities and other dimensions which we cannot yet visit. Within our plane of existence lies itself lies various alternate realities, at times I feel as though the portals to other dimensions are situated in our brains – a universe in its own. Is a persons ability to dream, and visit surreal places within those dreams other realities that lie within the universe within us.

When I use the term ‘universe within us’ I am not implying that we with hold solar systems and galaxies within our bodies, but because I believe just like this vast universe that surrounds us, offering a plethora of infinite possibilities, some which we are aware of and others that we are not. Likewise, our brain in my opinion carries out a similar function of creating and offering back to the space surrounding us a plethora of possibilities as well.

I think consciously or subconsciously triggering various parts of the brain, can enable us to experience alternate realities. But, at times people disregard those states as being alternate realities because it lacks a physical contact.

Please bare in my mind my words are not a subliminal description of neuro trigger attained by psychedelic drugs in particular. Which in my opinion can be classified under the category of alternate realities, but not because of their capability to cause surreal vision but because of their capability to morph your perception and enable you to observe various facades of an object or situation, thus providing you with an insight of various possibilities.

But, to me the term alternate realities holds an extremely vast meaning , one that supersedes shifting from dimension to dimension, psychedelic drugs , meditation and the dream world. As due to lack of physical contact in all four of them, it raises controversies and everyone has their own perception on what is actually happening to you or supposed to happen to you in those four states.

But, what about situations that have a materialistic value, such as various societies, cliques, the alter ego which I believe everyone has not one but multiple. I also feel like the three of them are somehow inter-linked:-

1. They say traveling broadens your vision, is it not in a way a sub division of an alternate reality, experiencing and living under conditions different from your own, meeting new people, learning about things you could never imagine existed. In my opinion, its a taste of an alternate reality.

2.  Lets assume, you haven’t traveled around the globe much, in fact haven’t really left the premises of your society and culture, but within each society are with held various cliques. Each comprising of their own set of beliefs, ideologies, lifestyles so on and so forth. And somehow, everyone is a part of a clique in today’s world, in my view even the ones who claim not to be apart of any clique are technically associated with “I am not a part of a clique” clique. So, interactions with members of various cliques , broadens your view, enabling you to experience perceptions of reality different from your own.

3. Earlier I claimed that we all posses multiple alter ego’s. I don’t assume it to be abnormal, because soaking in consciously or subconsciously the traits offered by different members of the same society or members of various societies is inevitable. I guess the issue of threat arises with the intensity at which you can switch from one trait to another perhaps. But, I feel like our ability to present multiple thoughts to a given situation is caused by our multiple alter egos which in turn is caused by interaction with alternate realities offered to us by another human being.

So, at times I think we should also regard the possibilities with held in this world and in each human soul as alternate realities  as well. Instead of just classifying space- time travel, dimension shifting, life after death, life before birth, drug altered states of mind and dreams as categories of alternate realities.
