The Wedding Soirée

I feel delighted and dejected at the same time, to mention that my 3-day-wedding-outfit extravaganza concludes today. Everything has to come to a happy end and my Indian sartorial splendor is no exception. The wedding is over and so is my vacation. I am back in the States and all my traditional clothing have been stowed away till future use......(sad face ) !!!Ok, enough of my transitional woes, let's talk something to liven up the mood. So here I present to you ( drum-roll) -- another brilliant creation from my high school designer friend ANIL. Our main focus while designing this piece was it's use to me, later after the wedding. It is a soft yet stylish design, that can be worn here in US too.
THE WEDDING SOIRÉE
It's a taboo among the bridal party to wear reds, gold , beige and other warmer tone garment on the wedding day. But I wanted to break the social rut and try something modern. So we chose this purple shade, which by the way will be the it color for fall. The monochromatic style was intentional and meant to give a slender appeal. The light weighted net attached to the blouse is optional and can be removed later when the longer blouse style goes off trend. How cool is that !!! With this the wedding soiree comes to an end and I will be back to my regular outfit posts.
