Take a spa break togetherIf you’re going to take a break, take a spa break. A relaxing and luxurious day at the spa is sure to be just what the doctor ordered. You and your mom could either pick somewhere local or somewhere a little further afoot and make a weekend of it.There are plenty of choices across the UK to choose from, and you can tailor your day or weekend to suit your budget. Most spas will have some standard packages, and you can always choose from a wide range of add-ons if you’re happy to spend a little more – it is your mom after all.Take her for afternoon teaWhat better way to spoil your mom than with afternoon tea? Lots of restaurants, cafes and hotels now offer afternoon tea so you can choose somewhere local that suits your budget. Many places will also offer the option to upgrade from tea and coffee to champagne or prosecco if you fancy a tipple.Have a girls night inTreating your mom doesn’t have to be expensive – your mom will enjoy just some simple quality time with you, so a girls night in can be a perfect way to indulge.Pick out a film you both love, order in your favorite takeaway and stock the fridge with wine, prosecco, gin, or your favorite tipple. Alternatively, ditch the film and takeaway and cook your mom a lovely meal that you know she will enjoy and simply have a natter over a bottle of wine (or two!). Invite her for a day out with the kidsIt isn’t just you who your mom will enjoy spending time with – if you have children then she’d also love some extra quality time with them. If you and the family are planning a trip to the zoo, or a day out, why not ask your mom and dad if they’d like to come along too? Even if it’s just a walk, or a trip out somewhere local, your mom and dad will really appreciate being invited along.Half term breaks and school holidays are a great chance for you to create new family memories that you, your parents and your children are sure to treasure forever – just make sure you remember to take lots of photosso you can look back on them together!
This will hopefully give you a bit of inspiration and will help you spend more time with your mom this spring. If you’ve got any extra ideas, please do let me know in the comment section below.
