...this & That... Thursday.

I'm baaack!  Yes, I know I've been a tad bit MIA lately.  I've got good reason.  Seriously, I do.
You see I've been crazy busy.  I know - I am ALWAYS busy...but, I really have been out of control busy.  And sleep is important so, I've opted for sleep in lieu of posts.  However, I'm not quite sure how I missed this past Sunday's outfit.  I guess I spaced it.
Well, I thought I would update you of sorts on various different aspects of my life and some tidbits (of sort).  Alright, here goes...
I head out of town next week on a few days of much needed R&R.  I'll be heading to Michigan to spend roughly 36 hours with my Dad and then I'll head to Chicago for about 48 hours to see friends and a few family members (if I can fit everyone in).  Yay!  It's a fun, quick, trip.  I will say that if for some reason I don't see everyone...I'll be back...and probably sooner than later.  I'll be checking airfare deals and making the best of it.  I'm a budget traveler at this point.  I won't be renting a car this trip, no need.  The plan is to spend the afternoon downtown on Friday and I'm going to a concert on Saturday night.  Not sure what else I have for plans...you never know.  And don't worry I'll post when I'm gone since I'll have more "free-time".  Note to self:  check with airlines and airport security for bringing knitting needles on the airplane.  Does anyone reading have experience with this?  I don't want to bring my "favorite" needles and then they tell me NO.  I won't be thrilled about throwing them away, N-O, not at all...
...this & that... Thursday.I've been preparing like a mad-woman for the Believe Boutique which just happens to be this weekend!  Yippee!  I'm really ready for a "slight" crafting break.  My hands are so dry from all of my hand washing.  I'm a tad bit concerned I won't have enough cards but, I'll have to make do with what I have.  The alternative is that I come home tomorrow night at roughly 10 p.m. and stay up all night making more cards...hmmm, I need to prepare myself for that...that means early to bed tonight...well, earlier than usual.  Let's just say the goal is to hit the sack no later than 10:30 p.m. this evening.  Anyhow, Mom is coming over tonight to assist labeling the cards with color coded tags for "ease" of figuring out pricing.  The deal is this:  buy 5 cards and the 6th is free!  Yep.  But, you have to come to the boutique.  I have roughly 30 scarves and that is the harder part...so, I'm probably going to pick to prices and charge based on length and materials.  Believe it or not some of the yarn I use to make the scarves isn't cheap.  Anyhow, check out Believe Boutique for all the details of visiting me Friday or Saturday (11/4-11/5).  Check out Blondie's Shop to see the new additions.  Please note that NOT all of my items are listed; the items created in the last 7-days will not be photographed and uploaded until after the event.  Also, I'm selling all of my cards individually at the event...it will interesting to see how that turns out.  So, you might see some changes to my shop for the ability to "also" purchase from my stock all items individually.  If you have any thoughts on this "after" reading this post - please do comment and let me know.  Love to hear your thoughts.
I have a winner for the juliethefish designs giveaway...however, I haven't posted it as of yet.  For some reason blogger has not posted my scheduling posts over the last 2-weeks and I need to figure that out.  Seriously, I do and might I just say that it's a tad bit irritating as well.  What's the point of scheduling a post if it doesn't "appear" when you want it to...?  Don't worry I'll get to the bottom of it - next week when I have more free time.
I'm very excited to know that The Expendables, part 2 is in the works.  Yippee and "double-fist pumps" is more like it!  Yes, I do really do this...I actually have a little dance I do when I'm super excited but, only few have seen it.  The Avengers is due out next summer.  And let me just say I'm really excited to see Breaking Dawn, Part 1...I saw the preview a few ago while with my Mom at the movies and I was awestruck.  I have a sleep-over date at my sister's planned to see the movie.  My sis, her hubby and myself are having a marathon screening of the first three movies the Friday it opens and then that next morning we will head to the theater to see Breaking Dawn...pretty awesome, huh?  I know it's dorky and silly but, my sis and I are totally addicted.  I read the books way after all of the excitement and my sister ready them because she's a high school English teacher and had to be on the same page as her students...her hubby hasn't read them but, likes going with us.  So, it's a date!
I have a brand spanking new addition to my family!  Bern and I have decided to co-parent a beautiful, funny, smart, wire hair fox terrier.  Molly is a fabulous little doggy!  Prior to having Molly I've had to labs and this experience is absolutely, completely, different.  I was slightly optimistic about the situation but, I love her and she's great.  She doesn't have a problem going between our places...and she loves going in the car.  Actually "exploring" is her deal.  I'm doing a post this weekend on her so, more to come.
I've been busy all-round with multiple aspects of my life and adjusting to changes, etc.  Life is full of surprises and you learn from all of them.
Be on the lookout for my travel posts and trip planning research.  Oh, and I have a special series of posts coming from last year's trip to Europe...yes, I know - the ones that I never posted.  I'll be working on them next week...while on vacation!  As you can tell by reading this post you can probably tell that I'm jamming up my vacation with a bunch of "to-do's" and to think I have been seriously contemplating "how" I can go on this trip and not bring my computer...?!  So, I think I'll be bringing a journal with plenty of empty pages to write in.
Alright, I'm getting back to it.  Thought I'd give a ...this & that... shout out and let all of you know that I 'm still here...just super-duper busy.  Life will be back on track Sunday morning and I'll be a bit more organized.  Well, that's the plan at least and my goal!  Check back tomorrow for my favorite day of the week.
Have a wonderful Thursday!  I'll see you soon.
