Happy Thursday everyone!
Today is my Friday, once again.
We have Good Friday off tomorrow, and I am so excited. I just love the Springtime and Easter. The world is anew, we remember Christ loving us and dying for us. It's right up there on my happy list. I hope you guys are enjoying this time as well.
I am linking up with Annelise over at Aunie Sauce for the Thursday 13. It's a post about 13 whatever things, and this week the topic is 13 things I love that people do. This one has an upbeat feeling, which I find perfect for today. You might remember this post. Yeah, people were getting on my nerves that day, but today I love everybody :).
one. I love that people are utterly and completely human. I mean this in the sense that they have raw emotion, thoughts, and are able to connect on so many different levels. It's a mystery I may never fully understand. two. I love when people are active with their children. I took a walk through a neighborhood and saw a dad playing T-ball with his son. It made me happy that he was teaching him something and spending quality time with him. three. I love when people compliment me in public. I get to see a new face, but I also get to connect and talk with a stranger. We are so detached from others at times, its nice when someone has the courage to break the silence. four. I love it when I see an old couple laughing together. It reminds me that we're never too old to have a little fun. five. I love when children are completely 100% honest. Kids of course, have no filter. They say what comes to mind. It also keeps adults in check. We tend to lie to ourselves too much...six. I love seeing the vibrancy of spirit. Whether its overcoming an illness, or learning to walk again after an accident, we are resilient creatures. God created us this way so that when life tears us down, we can rise up again. seven. I love really compassionate, good teachers! I think education is essential to success, and when a teacher really cares about the kids and their performance as a teacher, it gives me hope again in our public school system. Not all teachers cheat, or are lazy, or are careless. Some really do make the job look easy! eight. I love when families expand, typically, in a marital sense. Before my sister and I got married {a week apart}, my family was never closer. We spent the most time together, shared the most laughs, and really melded together. It was and is a precious time. nine. I love when people have pets they treat as children. I do this! I just think that pets, especially dogs {for me}, really make people happy. We take care of them and they take care of us right back. They don't complain and they love no matter what. It especially makes me happy when a big macho guy has the tiniest dog known to man :). ten. I love people who take the time to mentor and mold you. I have a couple of those at work, and they really have taught me how to deal with conflict, how to speak up, how to take chances, and how to do my best!eleven. I love the value of a good friend. I have only had a couple in my life, but when you find a good friend, they are a friend for life. So many people are social, or outgoing, but there are very few true friends out there. Friends who really care about you and what's going on in your life. This goes beyond friendly advice, having fun together, or just hanging out. True friends really connect with you. It's priceless. twelve. I love when people completely abuse the vernacular of simple words. In the south, we tend to do this a lot. It doesn't matter why or how, but it just is what it is. thirteen. I love people who consider Mac & Cheese to be a vegetable. Down here, we don't have sides, we have vegetables. That includes, peas, greens, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. Don't judge.
What do you love about people?
