Time for a Rewind! Charleston Love

Posted on the 18 June 2012 by Thealyway @DarlingRaquel
I am going to share photos of what has been going on in my neck of the woods for the past few weeks. I was on vacation, then had grandparents visiting, then had the worst sinus infection... but now all that has past, and I am ready to blog again.
Charleston, South Carolina was FANTASTIC!!! I absolutely fell in love with it! The scenery, the people, the ocean, the fried green tomatoes, the shrimp & grits, sweet tea, everything! (We even had a fried cinnamon roll before leaving!) The above is Mrs. Darcy and me in front of the Boone Hall Plantation.
We stayed outside Charleston at Wild Dunes in Isle of Palms.
Boone Hall Plantation... anyone recognize these gates???Noah crashed into them in "The Notebook."

The ceiling under the portico is a blue, a "haint" blue. It supposedly scares off bad spirits. I want to do this to my home some day.

Gorgeous Champion Horses
This drive was mesmerizing.
We had a quick lunch here before we left.
Our favorite spot. I had a burger with a crab cake on it... delicious! And their fries were yummy!

 I love vacation field trips.

Downtown Charleston

We ate a great organic restaurant in Sullivan's Island, I forget the name, but the grits were so wonderful.
These guys were everywhere. They scared us from getting in the water.
I kept posing my mom in the sand dunes... thinking of "The Last Song" :)
The cute little condo at Wild Dunes. Very comfortable and clean.

Charleston, I can't wait to see you again!
