Delhi Times Lifestyle Week last week was at Andaz, Aerocity in association with Kohler and Panasonic Beauty. The two-day event had all its glitter that it could have in presence of many celebrities fashion and lifestyle spectrum including designers, Bollywood stars, and models. Both the days had three fashion shows thus showcasing the talent of six designers in total.
On day 1 it was Mandira Wirk, Samant Chauhan, and Rocky Star in their respective slots. The surprise of the day was none other than Evelyn Sharma who was there as a showstopper for designer Rocky Star. Dictionary says fashion is a popular or the latest style of clothing, hair, decoration, or behavior. It is also a manner of doing something. I see two kinds of fashion designers and fashion enthusiasts. One, who is part of a rat race running, following, and creating blindly without their purpose in life.
This first set of fashion designers have nothing to showcase in the name of their talent and creativity. Instead, you find them promoting nudity and vulgarity. A real fashion is something that makes you more beautiful, presentable, and graceful rather than giving a chance to people to enjoy 90% of your exposed body. So, the second breed of fashion designers is in this category where respect for their work automatically comes to your mind the moment they showcase their talent and creations.
Setting a stage on fire doesn’t necessarily happen just by exposing the body of your models. Like, Evelyn set the stage on fire in a rose gold outfit, looking gracious, and glittery. Fusion is the key that excites Rocky Star. His work at Times Lifestyle Week was a good mix of old style charm and new-age demand. Or for that sake Diana Penty on day 2 was phenomenal.
Times Lifestyle Week Coming To World Standards
Besides Evelyn, the other models were Laxmi Rana, Sonalika Sahay, Candice Pinto, Deepti Gujral, and Donna Masih. Mandira Wirk’s Pastel Romance collection is noteworthy. If you are a fashion enthusiast, then you must have a look at her new work. The same goes true for Samant Chauhan’s collection with a theme of self-actualization. This was the scintillating agenda of Day 1 of Times Lifestyle Week. But there was a lot of excitement in store for Day 2.
On day 2, it was the turn of Siddartha Tytler, Pia Pauro, and Falguni Shane Peacock. If day one belongs to Evelyn Sharma, day two belongs to Diana Penty. In fact, Diana Penty was the showstopper for fashion designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock. As a matter of fact, all the 6 fashion shows on these two days had full house presence of the audience and fashion & lifestyle enthusiasts.
Out of all the six fashion shows, the last two on day two byPia Pauro, and Falguni and Shane Peacock were outrageous, courageous, and bold. Obviously, it had to be because the theme was on the theme of feathers, sequences, and prints. In fact, one element that was missing to a larger extent in Pia Pauro showcase was the fabric itself. As a matter of fact, more than 50% of dresses in that collection require quite a daring mindset to try on Indian roads.
Times Lifestyle Week Setting New Benchmarks
Siddartha Tytler’s collection was quite graceful and decent. I had a little conversation with a few of designers and celebrities. Here are the excerpts from a couple of them at Times Lifestyle Week:
Question to Siddartha Tytler: One thing that a designer should not forget while creation?
Siddartha Tytler: India’s rich heritage and history. In fact, we have a lot to give to the world when it comes to fashion in a real sense.
Question to Siddartha Tytler: One thing that is removing the barriers across the globe in the fashion world?

With this, we conclude Times Lifestyle Week.
