Tips for Your Job Interview

We've been interviewing for quite a while at work and I've had the glorious job of interviewing potential candidates. It's been quite an experience, and so I thought I'd share with you a few tips for things you should totally do at your next job interview.

1. Just don't turn up.

No one wants to employ a lazy person. By not showing up you're just showing your future employer that you're very busy and important. It'll make you oh-so desirable.

2. Bring your parentsYour parents clearly know you best. If you can, bring your Mother along to your interview and let her answer all the interview questions for you. It also shows that you have a great relationship with your parents, which is obviously important.

3. Wear a hoodie and a baseball cap.

Having a bad hair day? No problem! Just wear a baseball cap, but make sure you turn it backwards so that we can see your face. Also, wearing a suit can make you seem stuck up, dressing down is your best bet.

4. Don't research the company

Seriously, we hate it when people come in thinking they know everything. Don't even bother looking at our website or finding our what we do - you'll look like you're trying too hard.

5. Bring your 6 week old baby/puppy/other noisy creature.

Showing that you love children and animals is a great character reference! We'd also love to meet your little one so by all means, bring them along! Saying that you didn't want to get a baby-sitter shows that you're a really dedicated mother - which is also great! If you can, be sure to start breastfeeding or whip out a baby bottle halfway through your interview as well.

All these things have happened to me during interviews over the last few weeks. This week really was the worst of the lot however.

p.s - I am not joking. They have actually happened.

Anyone have suggestions for more things you should totally do at a job interview?
