Tis the Season…

Posted on the 21 November 2012 by Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

…to watch sappy Christmas movies.

I have a confession to make. I love those made for tv Christmas movies. It’s not the holidays without them. As much as I love my horror movies this time of year I just can’t wait to get a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate to stir with a candy came and settle in for a feel good treat. Now I also have a pattern.  As the holiday gets closer the movies get better going from lifetime channel romances to classics like “elf” and “home alone”. My first movie of the season was “12 Dates of Christmas” a Groundhog Day rip off with a predictable ending that was as enjoyable as it was heartwarming. I’m not kidding there was a widowed old lady neighbor who bakes, orphans at a group home, and a puppy just to name a few.

You have any silly holiday traditions to share?

Of course there’s also the ongoing holiday crafting and I’ve got ornament #2 to share!

I’m not finishing them yet until I get a whole stack of them but I’m pleased with the finishes so far. I also just discovered there’s an HD setting on my phone camera so the quality is a lot better, you can actually see the details. How are your holiday crafts going?

Hope you’re having a good week and enjoying the holiday for those of my followers celebrating thanksgiving. I’ve also got a picture to share of some especially pretty scenery on my walking route I thought I’d share with you all.
