'Tis the Season of Giving.

Posted on the 01 June 2010 by Cbhojwani

I’m the first to admit that my husband is a generous man and leaves me asking for very little. He even does the small things like making me a cup of tea on our first morning in London or the time when he picked up a box of my favourite cherry cakes and brought them home. 'Tis the season of giving. Lest not we forget the infamous Muffin episode which was the foundation of this new language known as L.O.T.A. However, two months in to our marriage, I’ve begun to notice a method to his madness!

It was perhaps a week ago we were sitting in our living room when all of a sudden Mr. Bhojwani looked up at me and randomly said;

‘Ok, I’ll get you an iPad when we visit the US.’

Baffled by the sudden barrage of random information I took a moment to process the confusing content.

‘But, when did I ask for an iPad?’ I inquired. 'Tis the season of giving.

‘I know you’ll want one,’ was his smug response.

‘I want a Chanel bag!’ I corrected him before any other silly idea found its way into his brain! ‘You know I want a Chanel bag!’

‘Yes but…’

‘No buts!’ I stopped him before he employed this Jedi mind-trick he goes on about. ‘A Chanel bag! Don’t get me an iPad just because you want one!’

It’s only a matter of time before I end up becoming Marge Simpson to his 'Tis the season of giving. Homer and on my birthday, receive a gift-wrapped bowling ball with his blooming initials inscribed on it.....d'oh! Best to nip it in the bud me thinks!

Marriage Tip 15:
