To Diet Or to Exercise?? That is the Question

Posted on the 05 September 2013 by Naveedkhan

If you have a tendency to put on weight, a slow metabolism and a fierce passion for eating, how do you fight your pounds??

Once we  realize that we are overweight, we start planning crash diets, exercises, walk,  zeroing certain foods, tread milling, etc.

but what happens when we stop?? The weight comes back with a venegance.

What is the most effective, sustainable way to lose weight??? Diet? Exercise? Or Both?

Cuts in caloric intake helps you to lose weight faster. Research guarantees that combination of smaller portion and changes help us easily achieve the target of reducing calorie consumption by 500 calories daily.

There is also a simple belief  that if you exercise more, you eat more. which cancels out any weight loss. But it is a myth that exercise makes you put on weight. If you do have heavy weights or really high- intensity cardio workouts and eat carb- heavy foods alongside, then you will put on muscle weight.

Keeping up a routine of light Exercise and eating the right foods that are high in protiens, and choosing good carbs over bad carbs helps you to ward off weight gain, and even lose it.

BOTH EXERCISE AND DIET ARE IMPORTANT WHEN IT COMES TO WEIGHT LOSS. YOUR DIET IS 60% OF THE BATTLE AND EXERCISE IS 40%.

Regular exercise wards off diseases like Diabetes, Heart Failures and Stress related Illness.

Although Diet alone can help in reducing weight but there are disadvantages losing weight through diet alone. Although dieting would decrease your inches, weight and body mass, but skin and muscles may begin to sag and may look worse.

Exercise helps in the toning of body which might increase  muscle mass but would reduce the fats of the body.

Exercise does not only helps release tensions & stress but also releases endorphins and other ‘happy hormones’ in your body, promoting a feeling of well-being and relaxed.

“EXERCISE ALONG WITH THE BALANCED DIET ARE THE KEY IN MAINTAINING OR EVEN INCREASING YOUR MUSCLE MASS”

Exercise and Balanced Diet go hand in hand, complementing each others effects.

Too much Exercise and too much Dieting can have a bad effect also. So keep Moderate.
