To the Man That Makes It Possible!

Posted on the 12 June 2013 by Mikidemann @mikidemann
My husband is a blog husband. He doesn't blog, he doesn't actively participate in the front end of this blog by guest posting or authoring posts. I didn't name my blog miki and jared, she and him, her and he, me and he, him and she, the DeMann's or anything combining the two of us into this blog. It's not that I'm selfish, it's just that this is my writing. I may talk about Jared all the time, our life and our marriage, but it's all my opinions and my thoughts. Jared is my support system when it comes to blogging. He's been with me since I started my blog. It was actually his sister in law (she's mine now too) that gave me the idea to start a blog. Jared is the sole support I have for everything blog related and being a blog husband can be hard work.
So here is a shout out to all blog husbands!
(as well as blog boyfriends, girlfriends, wives, fiancé's)
It's not easy work being a blog husband, because you're also....
- A photographer. Jared has to take photos of me for reviews clothing reviews (see photo below). Neither of us knows much about photography so it takes hours for me to get ready and then to take a million shots.
To the man that makes it possible!
- Not only is he a photographer, but he's incredibly patient when I take photos of everything. We have to take photos of every thing that we do, see, touch, drive by... it all is on my phone! Because in my head I think "What if I need this for a blog post?"
- He's an editor. He has to read my posts multiple times, especially if it is something that is very sensitive to me, because I want it to come off the right way. I'll have him read it to himself and sit and watch him anxiously.
- Brain Stormer. If I have an idea for a post that I need another opinion on he's more than willing to step in and help me think of every perspective possible, so that my posts aren't always shallow.
- Accepting of my online relationships. Jared knows most of my "blog friend's" names. He knows their husband and their dogs. He probably maybe even knows their blog URL's.
- An on-call babysitter. Jared will take the children (puppies) out of the room when I need to concentrate and just blog or when I get involved in one of my twitter chats that is for blogging like #blogtrends or #bloggab
- He is very helpful with helping me think of ideas to improve traffic. We will get in long conversations about what is appealing to a reader, what my audience, if my design is appealing, and he always is more than willing to take time out to help me.
So with that being said, all you bloggers - go kiss your support system right now!
Who is your biggest supporter?
