Today I Went to the Scary Starbucks That I Never Go To.

**this post was written over the course of 3 different sittings be ready for some random! **

Here’s the story of the Scary Starbucks.

I live exactly 4 blocks from the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital which is a big league hospital. It has one of the best cardio departments in the area. Well, there is a Starbucks in this hospital. It used to be right off the main entrance. It’s been a dream of mine to live within walking distance of a coffee shop and this one is definitely within walking distance but I’ve always had a moral issue with going there. It’s coffee for the sick people, or the waiters for the sick people. So I have NEVER gone to this Starbucks…

Here it is….

About a week ago I was driving by the hospital, on a side street near my house and noticed that the super scary Starbucks had moved!

Now, it’s right off the big parking garage. It’s still “part of the hospital” but you don’t have to walk in the main entrance to get there. So today I decided to casually walk in and get some tea… Okay, I can’t do anything casually. But I tried really really hard to look like a hospital employee. I may or may not have stolen a pair of scrubs from a nurse and changed into them in the bushes.

I had the Joy Tazo Tea which is fabulous with 2 splendas and some non-fat milk.

Long story short, I’ve now been to the scary Starbucks and will be walking there most mornings. Because it’s just that cool.

Yogurt and chex in the morning is BACK!

It’s my favorite breakfast. I was super bummed that my honey nut chex were a little stale, but once they started soaking up some vanilla greek yogurt my tongue couldn’t tell at all.

Some of you noticed, on twitter, that I tried my first Skinnygirl Cocktail last week. I’d had a ridiculous day at work and needed a little pampering. I chose the Margarita because it was the original, even though I LOVE Sangrias.

It was awesome!!!! I found the flavor to be pretty mild compared to normal margaritas. But I don’t like most normal margaritas. I don’t like them to be really syrupy and strong on the lime mixer. This was literally light and refreshing. Definitely try it. For those of you wanting to get together and run a half marathon together sometime next year (I’m totally counting on it, by the way…) we will have to have a Skinnygirl cocktail party in our hotel room (or pool) after our race!!!

I’m super obsessed with nail polish. And I think most of you are too based on the amount of comments I get about various nail colors when I ask any kind of nail polish question so… This is my newest favorite color!

Lady Like by Essie. It’s super cute and perfect for any occasion.

Don’t you just love subtle colors?! I am all about the “nudes”. Okay, honestly… how do you feel about olive nail polish???? I was reading InStyle Magazine and they said Olive is the “MUST HAVE” color this winter. I looked at few version of olive and I’m kinda like “it looks like vomit”…

This is what it’s doing here in California. It’s definitely fall.

Tell me about you!!! I want to know………….

I’m 150% serious about this whole Olive nail polish thing. What do you think??

Have you done any Halloween decorating?

I haven’t but I’m planning on carving a bijillion pumpkins with Max!

What is your favorite and least favorite cocktail?

My favorite is Long Island Iced Teas but they are potent so my usual go to drink is Sangria. I do not like mudslides. Bleck!
