Don't let this happen again
The beautiful Fiona Geraghty
I was disgusted and distraught at what I read today in the Daily Mail. Fiona Geraghty, only 14, hung herself after developing Bulimia following being called “fat” by a group of girls at her school. Firstly, Daily Mail, there are more reasons that someone will develop an eating disorder than someone calling her fat. Yes, it is horrifying that a group of girls would personally insult another persons weight and not even think about the consequences, but more psychological matters are at hand. Also Daily Mail likes to point out that she went to a private school at £15,000 a year. Why is that necessary? Just because she goes to a private school and her parents are paying £15,000 per year it’s odd for a girl to develop Bulimia? If anything it would be easier to come by an eating disorder due to pressure that young girls feel to be perfect. This is not a fault of private schools at all, this is the mentality that teenagers can come by to do everything right and look “great”.
We together can stop things like this happening, and young beautiful girls just like Fiona, will not have to die needlessly.

I give my deepest sympathy to her family and friends and hope that they are well through this difficult time.
