Holidays are supposed to be relaxing – and they are when you plan properly.  Sometimes when you have children – it’s easy to forget about the little things that could make your whole trip run muh more smoothly.  Here we have listed some holiday essentials that you may want to take into consideration when planning your next holiday so it goes without a hitch.
Airport Parking, and Hotel Transfers
Getting to the airport is always a stress.  You are too busy being worried about whether or not you have remembered everything – and looking out everything you need.  That’s why driving to the airport is the most sensible option.  You can pack your car whenever you would like, and double check you have got everything.  You can also leave when you choose.  If you use public transport you are reliant on it arriving when it should, and if you book a taxi – you will no doubt be anxious if it doesn’t arrive on the button.
There are official Luton airport parking options that will also make your arrival at the airport much easier, so you don’t need to hunt for a parking space.  You can book official parking Luton airport services in advance online, that will take you just a minute or 2 – that will take all of that hassle away from you.  Search for parking here.
Make sure you ask whether or not hotel transfers are included as part of your package – and find out how long it will take you to get to your destination, whether or not there are more drop-offs etc.  it could be that you choose to upgrade and get a taxi for a faster trip.
A Lot of In-flight Entertainment
If you are planning on going on a flight that is longer than a couple of hours – then inflight entertainment is a must.
This is especially true if you are traveling with children.  If you have a Netflix or Amazon Prime account, then it’s always a good idea to make sure you have downloaded enough programmes to get you through the flight. It also could come in handy at the airport if you end up being delayed.
You could also download some books on a Kindle or a tablet, for some reading time when you are on the flight too.  If you have a busy schedule, it could be that you haven’t even had the chance to do that in a while. Check out the bestsellers list and see if you can find something that you like.  If you have a favorite author, why not see if they have anything new coming out.
Extra Baggage to Make sure you Have your Home Comforts
Even when you are away from home, your stay away can be much more comfortable when you have some familiar items around you.  When you have extra baggage that allows you to bring some extras that you wouldn’t normally.
It could even be little things such as bringing your favourite coffee or tea bags, or you might just want to make sure you have a pair of shoes to go with each outfit.  You can get great deals for extra baggage – and it can end up saving you a bit of money in the long run if you are bringing the likes of tea and coffee – as you then don’t need to buy when you get there.
It also just gives you that assurance you need, that you don’t have to worry about what you are packing.  You can take everything that you want, and not run into any surprises when you get to the airport.

Think about an All-Inclusive Option
When you go on an all-inclusive holiday everything is taken care of for you.   This type of holiday can sometimes get a bit of a bad reputation, but these days you can get 5 star all-inclusive that includes fantastic dining experiences.
All of your food and drink is included which means there is less stress involved when it comes to thinking about additional spending money.  It also means that you don’t need to worry about choosing which restaurant to go to out-with the hotel unless you need to – and you have much more flexibility than you would have if you were to go self-catering.
There is usually lots of facilities in terms of food and drink, so you can just relax at the pool if that’s what you’d like to do – or if they are old enough, the can even get their own juice or treats as they please without having to carry around cash.  All-inclusive holidays do tend to be the easiest option which is why they are so popular.
Research Trips and Excursions in Advance
You don’t need to wait until you get to your destination to start booking trips and excursions – you can do that well in advance to make life a little easier.  When you first arrive on holiday you want to enjoy yourself, the last thing you want is to have to sit through lots of sales chat when it comes to the trips that are available.
When you research things that you can do before you go, it actually gives you much more options and control in your activities.  You can check what trips entail, and how much they cost.  That way, even if you don’t book it – you can gauge how good the deals are when you get there.  You can also do a search on them on 3rd party review sites to see what kind of experience other people had when they were there.  You won’t get that kind of impartial advice from someone who is selling you that excursion.
Ensure your Hotel has lots of Activities
If you have children, you want to make sure that they are entertained throughout the holiday.  It’s their vacation too – so you will no doubt want them to have a great time too.  There are normally standard facilities like a pool, but make sure you look at everything they have to offer online so you know there is plenty to do.
It could be that there is a table tennis table, a kid’s soft play area, a football pitch and alike that can be great additions to your holiday.  You might also want to ensure that your children can make new friends – and as such, a kid’s club could be something that you look for and what’s involved in those.  Entertainment for the adults is important too.  Don’t be afraid to ask what kind of entertainment options are available at night-time. It could be that they have singers, or cabaret acts – or even magicians.  Make sure that what they have available is the kind of thing you are after, so you don’t need to spend lots of time thinking about how to entertain yourselves.
A holiday is all about a little rest and relaxation – so you want to make life as easy as possible and enjoy yourself. Follow these top tips, and you will have the chilled out vacation that you were looking for.
