Hi everyone! I'm Kerry from Lived With Love and today as you can see, I am guest posting for Alex as she is very busy moving house! Thank you so much for letting me do this Alex :) and I hope you all enjoy this post!  Now that Sienna is 16 months old, she has been wanting to explore for a good few months and at first I struggled to keep her occupied. We did the usual reading books, watching a bit of TV and general playing but after 10 minutes (maximum) she would be bored and looking for something new to do. I thought I'd share our top toddler activities we do that keeps her occupied for a good hour at a time!Drawing.Top Toddler Activities by Kerry from Lived With Love I was hesitant to introduce drawing with 'actual' pens because all she had ever done with her crayons was eat them! However, I think with the crayons she couldn't press hard enough to see she was drawing so again got bored. With the pens, it's much better and so she loves it. As you can see at the moment we don't use paper, we tend to reuse all the cardboard we get through as at the moment it is only scribbles and I don't keep every picture. I do feel guilty saying that but I have to be realistic! haha!Painting.Top Toddler Activities by Kerry from Lived With LovePaint is very messy but look at her smile, she absolutely adores it. We use all different colours, mix colours, do hand prints, finger painting... we use all different household objects to print different shapes and textures. It really is fun and then after we dunk her in the bath for more playtime and splashing, it can take up all of our afternoon and is quality time spent together. Mixing.Top Toddler Activities by Kerry from Lived With LoveSienna is really loving mixing, baking and using her imagination. She is always bringing me empty cups, saying 'tea' and putting it to my mouth. She also pretends to feed her dollies when she is eating, it is so cute! When I am baking cakes or cookies or something, I will let her join in too. Although sometimes, I sit her in her highchair and just give her some flour, water and raisins. She pours them from one pot to the other and stirs saying 'mix, mix, mix'. She has so much fun so it's worth all the tidying up and cleaning afterwards!Dressing up.Top Toddler Activities by Kerry from Lived With LoveDressing up is probably Sienna's most favorite thing to do. She will wear anything, the other day she had nanny's jacket on, she's worn daddy's shoes around the living room (I have no idea how she can walk in them!) but these blue and white fluffy jackets with matching hat has been her most recent love. I try to hide it in the cupboard but every time she sees them, she gets excited and grins at me until I give in. She makes me put it on her and then toddles off to the mirror to giggle at herself. We then take it off,and repeat the whole process. Bless her!So there we have it, our top toddler activities! What are yours?*Thank you to another great blogging friend of mine, Kerry. A fantastic post I'm sure you'll agree? If you haven't yet done so pop over to her lovely blog and have a read of her life with her beautiful daughter Sienna :)
