Travel Plans/Ideas for 2024
As I'm getting older I am appreciating travel so much more than I ever expected I would when I was younger. When I was younger, I always thought I was a home-body and didn't want or need to travel, but actually like most people do, I find seeing and discovering new places and just having some time off away from other responsibilities, one of the best way to relax and make memories.
One day I'd love to venture further than I have before and visit places like India, Japan and I would love to one day be able to go on a luxury holiday to ThailandI find myself browsing Away Holidays dreaming of golden sand beaches, magnificent temples, delicious cuisine, world-class spas and lots of shopping and Thailand seems like one of those places that ticks all of the above and has something for everyone! Next year we have a few travel ideas and plans already with the biggest being our trip to Orlando, Florida in February, which I cannot wait for! It's a huge holiday for us and one we've been so looking forward to. We're going with Adam's side of the family and we've rented a big villa for us all with a pool, which looks amazing. We're going to be splitting our time between Disney World and Universal. We've bought our park tickets, sorted our car hire and our ESTA's. We've also made reservations for things like Savi's Workshop, the Droid Depot and a couple of really cool-looking Disney restaurants. I can't believehow quickly it seems to be coming up! I'm so excited! We'd also really like to take the boys away to Greece or Spain again. We went to Crete earlier this year as a familyand it was such a lovely holiday! There's nothing better than being in a hot country, with good food and pure relaxation time (well, as much as a parent can relax with the kids about haha!). We usually opt for Greece or Spain when going away with the kids as we've always found them both to cater really well to us as vegetarians. Plus you can pretty much always guarantee good weather! This year Adam and I were super lucky to get to visit Split in Croatia together. We went for 3 days and it was so relaxing just to have some one on one time together and to be completely 'off' from everything. We've been to Croatia twice now as a couple and it has become one of our favorite places. Although next on our list is Lake Como in Italy which looks absolutely picture-perfect from the pictures and videos I've seen! In the UK, I'd love to spend some more time in the Cotswolds. It's one of my favorite places to visit and not far from us too. With its typically English landscape of green rolling hills and countryside, stone walls, woodland and the charming little towns and villages, it's one of my happy places to visit! I quite fancy living there one day to be honest. Additionally, a trip to Wales would be amazing too. I think Wales has so much to offer, see and do! We love Pembrokeshire and have stayed a few times at Bluestone Wales as a family - we love staying in their lodges as they make for a perfect base and there's so many activities on offer and places to explore, plus a really awesome indoor pool. I'd also quite like to visit North Wales as it looks absolutely beautiful. Have you got any ideas or travel plans for next year? And if so, have you booked anything yet? Thank you for reading.    Alex xo
